Bank Holiday tour times (May 25th - May 27th) - 24th May 2013
Over this Bank Holiday weekend, tours will include parts of the former prison - Chapel yard, Courtyard & C Wing - as well as the usual Shire Hall section of the castle.

Former prison at Lancaster Castle forms part of Heritage Open Days

Special Tours of the Castle to Commenorate the 400th Anniversary of the Trials of the Lancashire Witches. NO ADVANCED BOOKING AVAILABLE FOR THESE TOURS. - 13th August 2012
To mark the 400th anniversary of the trials of the Lancashire witches this month, The Duchy of Lancaster will be opening the infamous Witches’ dungeon at Lancaster Castle to the public.

Limited Access on Friday 8th June - 6th June 2012
Please note that there will be no tours on the morning of Friday 8th June. The first public tour of the day will be at 1pm.

400th Anniversary of the Lancashire Witch Trials - 1st January 2012
To commemorate the 400th anniversary of the famous trials held in the castle in August 1612 we will be hosting several events throughout 2012. This will include two talks by experts in the field and at least one major theatrical performance. Please check the website regularly for details
