Business as usual - 24th March 2011

The castle will cease to function as a working prison this month and this has led to a lot of people assuming that the entire building will close at the end of March.

This is far from the truth and we at The Shire Hall are still here and very much open for business.

Other than that we are open seven days a week for guided tours of the courts section of the castle, with tours running between 10:30 and 4:00pm. We will also be open through all of the up-coming Bank Holidays.
